Bow Wow unleashes his new single titled “YEAAHH” after some time away from the mic.
Shad Moss references Gucci Mane, Magic City, and even the Bow Wow Challenge. “We at Liv on a Sunday, then hit Magic City Monday,” he raps. “This ain’t no Bow Wow Challenge, got the jet on the runway / My ni**as get it back, you don’t want no action / Off-White sneakers, Michael Jackson jacket.”
The self-deprecating line is a jab at himself over last year’s private jet photo controversy. At the time, Bow Wow bragged about taking a private jet with a promo shot from a private jet company’s website. He was then spotted on a commercial flight and ridiculed for lying online. From then on, fake stunting was referred to as the “Bow Wow Challenge.”
It's the comeback we've been praying for. Will it happen? by Sarah Michel 1/18/2018 Y’all, I think we may have just gotten Bow Wow back. Not the guy that makes up stories about his private jets. Not the dude that says he can’t relate to the Civil Rights struggle because he is mixed. Not the person imagining a mob of fans coming his way. Yes, Shad Moss has done his fair share of f—kery over the years, making many forget that he was once Bow Wow, the So So Def representative all the young girls wanted to take home. Just when we thought we lost him, the rapper released a snippet of “Yeaahh” a new single with a lot of BUZZ he plans to drop Feb 22nd and well, it’s fire. Via @VH1
“YEAAHH” is a single off Bow Wow’s upcoming Greenlight 6 project, the latest in a series which began with 2009’s The Green Light. The previous installment, Greenlight 5, dropped in 2013.
Bow Wow, who can be seen on WE tv’s “Growing Up Hip-Hop,” is slated to perform “YEAAHH” for the first time on MTV’s “TRL” this afternoon.
